 I designed this poster which can be used as a magazine advert which contains images that could construct our digipak. 

To create this, it was essential for me to research digipaks and magazine adverts of real artists similar to our music genre...

Using these magazine adverts as a guide to construct our own ensured that ours would conform to the conventional appearance of the pop genre. 

 

From research I found that the conventional visual design of magazine adverts of music artists are generally within this format... 

•  Portrait 
• Artist name - most bold & eye-catching
• Album name
• Information/album content (i.e. featured songs)
• Photo of artist his/herself
• production details (i.e. production logo)

Example used : Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

 However, in our design, we chose to have our magazine advert to be at a landscape angle. Although this may not be a conventional design for most adverts, we found that in our research, there were artists (very similar to ours/our genre) that used a landscape design. Therefore, we also used these to help construct our composition of the advert...
